Many Spanish people tend to say: another days, another people… And this is a mistake.
The general rule is to use another + a singular word as in:
There’s another train at 10 o’clock.
I would like to have another ice-cream, please.
And other + plural words as in:
She told other women in the neighbourhood
He shares a house with other students.
However, be careful with expressions like:
– ‘the other’: The other boy laughed at him/ The other boys laughed at him.
– another + quantities: I’m retiring in another three years/ Five people were killed and another twenty injured.
